Iguana is identified as being the son of a man whose name is usually written with a distinctive long-lipped glyph. The inscription goes on to say that around the time of his sixteenth birthday Iguana took part in an unidentified event, the twenty year anniversary of which is recorded on the Temple XIX stucco panel.

The left glyph has been read as Tiwo, the meaning of which is unknown. The right glyph, also part of the father's name, reads Chan, "Sky". (Photo: Mark Van Stone.)
