Stuart noted that the earliest of the three dates on the stucco panel was exactly twenty years after a date recorded on a monument called the Temple XVIII Jambs, commemorating an event in the life of K'inich Ahkal Mo' Nahb' III. This inscription refers to Ahkal Mo' Nahb' as "Iguana". This, apparently, was the name he went by before becoming king.

The left glyph is read as Huj, "Iguana", according to Linda Schele, although the identification has been questioned. The right glyph means "son of father". (The name of the father follows in the next glyph block - see next page.) (Photo: Mark Van Stone.)
