The two facade masks at Tzutzuculi (Monuments 1 and 2) depict zoomorphic heads on stone slabs measuring approximately 1.5 m high by 1 m wide. Like the masks at Cerros, those at Tzutzuculi flank a wide staircase (figure 1b). Also, as at Cerros, the Tzutzuculi masks are rendered as a paired set of short-snouted and long-snouted oppositions. |
