A fragment of a limestone sculpture from Palenque's Temple XIX. The hieroglyphics on the fragment form part of the Initial Series date of the limestone tablet that we discovered last season. The tablet depicts Palenque ruler K'inich Ahkal Mo' Nahb' III. In an amazing feat of hieroglyphic decipherment, Project epigrapher David Stuart has reconstructed the entire inscription based on this and the other fragments of the inscription that we have found.
