This sub-type of figurines has come to be known by the name of "Chinesco", on account of what some have perceived as a vaguely "Oriental" style. The graceful abandon of the figurine's stance belies the complexity of the pose, in the execution of which the artist has attained a wonderful balance between a static pose and a strong assymetrical dynamism.
