In the company of members from the Joloniel community, Alfonso Morales (Principal Investigator of the Proyecto Grupo de las Cruces of Palenque), Julie Miller (Project Administrator) and Karen Bassie visited the cave and photographed the inscriptions in January of this year. Although the artwork is in generally good condition, several areas of text are significantly faded and are in danger of being completely lost.
