Megan E. O'Neil received her B.A. in Archaeological Studies from Yale University, her M.A. in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Ph.D. in History of Art from Yale. She focuses on ancient Maya art and archaeology and is particularly interested in how the ancient Maya engaged with monumental stone sculptures from the moment of their creations and later in time. Her book Engaging Ancient Maya Sculpture at Piedras Negras has been published by the University of Oklahoma Press.
